Guardamar de Segura is a small typically Spanish Coastal town which is easily reached from Alicante, being 23km from the airport, or 35km from Murcia’s San Javier airport, linked by the main N332 coast road.

The town lies on the River Segura and enjoys an enviable coastal position. There is a wonderful, landscaped park where you can sit and relax, long sandy beaches and nearby pine forests, ideal for a picnic.

Guardamar del Segura, is undoubtedly one of Europe's most attractive destinations to take your holiday, when it comes to enjoying the sun and beaches in full contact with nature. With the sun shining almost round (335 days a year) coupled with an enviable average temperature of 20ºc allows for all types of activities at any time, even during the winter the average temperature is 18ºc making Guardamar an ideal place to escape the winter months and take a long relaxing vacation.

The natural landscape and parks also provide for trekking, horse-riding, bicycle riding or mountaineering. Throughout history, the Iberians, Carthaginians, Romans and Muslims established important settlements in the lands, as corroborated by the many terraces scattered all over the province and added to the colour and vibrancy the Costa Blanca is loved for.

Guardamar has a mixture of international restaurants and typical Spanish bars as well as plenty of supermarkets supplying local produce and imported products from other European countries. On Wednesday afternoons, the streets are transformed by the hustle and bustle of the weekly market and on Sundays the “rastra”, the flea market takes place.

Walk along the front at lunch times and in the evenings and the surrounding streets are a hive of activity, with many busy cafes, restaurants and bars. The activity continues into the early hours. You will find a very large street market every Wednesday morning, just behind the main Church where you'll find handicrafts, leather goods and a wide selection of fruits and vegetables.

The 'Puerto Pinar Apartments' are situated right on the edge of the Parquet Natural and you can follow a pathway through the parquet to 'The Dunas de Guardamar'. These dunes cover an area of over 800 hectares, running parallel to the coast.

The apartments' open doors to endless opportunity; a place to lay your hat while enjoying the lovely old Guardamar del Segura town; a place to live and work while travelling on business; a place to live and entertain when visiting family & friends; a base to call home when on a golfing holiday in Spain.
